Sync the troop calendar

To sync the troop calendar (the same one that appears on the troop website and in ScoutBook) to your own device, follow these instructions:

For Google calendar:

1. Log into google.com/calendar.
2. Select + next to “other calendars” on the left.
3. Select “Add by URL” and paste in the troop URL – https://api.scouting.org/advancements/events/calendar/205227.
4. The troop calendar will begin to sync
5. If the calendar isn’t showing, check to see if the calendar is listed and checked.

NOTE: Google calendar updates subscribed calendars every 24 hours.

For iOS (iPhone, iPad)

1. Go to Settings > Calendar > Accounts > Add Account > Other.
2. Tap Add Subscribed Calendar.
3. Enter this URL in the “Server” prompt: https://api.scouting.org/advancements/events/calendar/205227
4. Leave all other settings as defaulted and tap Save.
5. In the Calendar App, adjust the color used to display Internet Advancement events by tapping “Calendars” at the bottom of the app, then the (i) button to the right of the subscribed calendar.

NOTE: Apple Calendar updates every 1-3 hours by default. You can change that setting in Settings > Calendar.
